Fridge contents

I am well and truly stuck in a rut, I do the same shopping every week and I’m bored, the kids are bored.
Does anyone fancy sharing their fridge contents to inspire.
I’m trying to be healthy as well so I’ll take advice. Currently I have:
Cheese
Ham
Yoghurts
Hummus
Limp veg and salad
Dodgy cocktail sausage
Half tub of cottage cheese
Half tin of custard
And omg so many half used condiments
Urgh I’m bored writing the list - where’s the fridge fairy

OP posts:

Cheese - cheddar (block of vintage), parmesan (block to grate), sliced smoked cheese, grated mozzarella, grated "Ultimate Pasta Mix" (Dunnes Stores), tiny bit of leftover goats cheese, small block of a local artisan cheese (with nettles).

Some coffee flavoured buttercream icing
Semi-sundried tomatoes in olive oil
Goose fat (for roasties)
Beetroot (I must throw that out - it's languishing)

Half a bottle of Limoncello
2/3 bottle of sweet chilli sauce
Large bottle of Belgian beer
Pack of ready-rolled puff pastry
(Normally also on that hanger shelf on top of the bottles - 2 pizza bases - but we ate them last week and I need to replace them)

Butter
Pesto (sundried tomato, wild garlic, regular basil)
Olives
2 Welsh Rarebit things from M&S (cheese and seasoning in a pottery dish to bake)

Various cooked and cured meats in sealed packs (about 4/5 small ones) and half a salami in a tub
Fresh pasta (pappardelle to serve 4, and 1 tub of pasta parcels, this week has mushrooms, last time was ham and cheese)
Eggs
1 Dollop of cream left in the bottle
Some leftover coleslaw from the weekend
Berries

Milk
OJ
1 glass of wine at the end of a bottle
Squirty cream in a can (for hot chocolates)
Large tub of natural yoghurt (mostly for smoothies, some in curries)
Crème fraiche
Ghee
Mayonnaise
A sticky toffee pudding to share

Various condiments and sauces and jams and seasonings and chutnies on the door of the fridge

Bacon lardons (I buy Lidl double packs as they last ages and are super useful)
Cooking chorizo
Rashers and 1 small black pudding
This week there's chicken breasts and turkey burgers in there too

Carrots
Cooking apples
Rhubarb
Mushrooms
Courgettes
Peppers
Avocado
Ginger
1 chilli
Lettuce
Spring onions
Long life sweetcorn on cobs (1 pack)
limp brussels sprouts and 1/3 of a cauliflower (I haven't been great at using veg in the past couple of weeks)

With the hummus, maybe peel and chop some carrots and peppers into batons/sticks, and keep them in an airtight container to nibble healthily on and for DCs to eat.

It's shopping day tomorrow so my fridge is rather bare;

Tiny bit of oj in carton - will sit there until whoever put it back with just a slurp left moves it

Lets call my fridge, um, carefully stacked😂

It is pretty big though

And yes, we do eat most of it over time, I plan a mixed veg stir fry for Good Friday. And I often need to do meals in a hurry, or let dd make something before she starves and just fades away to nothing (early teen, so slightly prone to exaggeration, and to being fussy😡)

sunflowergogh · 16/04/2019 23:30

Why are all of you storing eggs in the fridge?!

nighttimebrowser · 16/04/2019 23:44

Just been shopping, I have:

•Skyr natural fat free yogurt (I use for breakfast w/ muesli, nuts & berries)
•Blueberries
•A bowl of sliced melon
•An actual melon (unsliced)
•Tomatoes
•Red grapes
•Block of mature light cheese
•Jar of half used pasta sauce
•Dairy free butter (soooo good on a bagel😍)

I think that's it? My DP has loads of cold meats/eggs/cheese/salad for himself etc. But I don't use those.

AllesAusLiebe · 17/04/2019 00:59

Not for inspiration, OP - just to make you feel better. . . opens fridge door

Here goes:

4 bottles of beer
1 carton of almond milk
1 carton of grapes
3 yoghurt
4 limes
2 bottles of sparkling water
1 teething ring

I’m 34. What am I doing with my life?! 😂

lucysmam · 17/04/2019 08:54

@sunflowergogh I don't store my eggs in the fridge! They live on the egg skelter (when I have some - we go through them quite quickly sometimes!)

BiddyPop · 17/04/2019 09:37

I’m still working through a glut of eggs on a Cubs event - so a bowl on the counter to use now and the rest in the fridge to last a bit longer...

Somehow, for 24 Cubs, there were 90 eggs...so all the leaders brought home leftovers....I was not in charge of any shopping!!

Itshightime · 17/04/2019 09:43

Hmmm. My top shelf is packed full of condiments - all half finished.

Meanwhile, prior to a large shop, my fridge contains...

carrots
vac packed beetroot
cavolo nero
few potatoes
whole chicken
butter
brazil/ pecan/ pine nuts
pack of cheddar
pack bacon
home made kefir
packs of rasberries
A2 Milk
Oatley Milk
12 eggs

With a 20 year old in the house, most of that could go in one sitting...
