North of The Tyne Mayor Elections

Who are you voting for and why??

I would normally vote Labour but I don't like Jamie Driscol and I don't think he has a big enough budget to implement the changes he wants.

I really like Charlie Hoult, he has made a massive impact on the region and has helped with creating the North Easts brilliant tech industry.

I think he's be a wonderful mayor but can't quite bring myself to vote Conservative.

I don't want a bun fight but for the first time I'm completely torn about who to vote for.

Can someone with a bit more knowledge please enlighten me more.

I've known John McCabe for a while and I think he would be a suburb mayor (I'm not one of his campaign team honestly). He is measured, has a good head for business and a social conscience. He's also standing on an independent ticket. Well worth a vote

Oh I hadn’t even thought of John McCabe as I thought it would be a wasted vote.

Do you know more about his policies? What’s come through the door just sounds like empty words, nothing concrete in them.

He's got a website I believe and a lot of the things he has been saying are about economic development with the money being used for things really benefiting the area from a non partisan view not money spent to please Party Central Offices
