Chickenpox

Hoping someone can advise..

My mum took my toddler around to his cousin’s house today for a play date. When they got there she found out my older niece had chickenpox last week. The ones she could see were scabbed over. My younger niece has so far escaped getting it.

Is there a high chance my toddler will get chickenpox now? Reason for asking is I also have a 4 month old. I’m worried about the baby getting it too Sad

You won't really know for 2 or 3 weeks. The youngest niece may be incubating it or may not. The incubation period is 10-21 days but they are only contagious for 1-2 days before spots appear and until the scab over
