I am overweight, unfit and feel grumpy. My marriage is not going well. I hate my job and my house is a tip

I am determined to sort my life out.

Plan is

Start slimming world
Start running
Get a new job
Start the organised mum method
Get style analysis and buy some new clothes
Try and sort out marriage by communicating better ( one big issue is creating arguments all the time)

Also want to save more
And be better mum to dc.. read some parenting books etc
Cook better meals and plan better maybe get a slow cooker cook book
Stop being so wasteful
Start Marie kondoing house

Anyone else in? I feel I need some "friends" to motivate me as it's a big list!

Thisnamechanger · 15/04/2019 18:45

Stop being lazy!
Stick.At.Things!

WoogleCone · 15/04/2019 18:48

Head over to the housekeeping board for decluttering (were big fans of Marie Kondo, were on thread 7 of the house sorting thread and it's a great way to keep yourself on track :)

Theninjawhinger · 15/04/2019 18:53

Me too! I want to:

Start running and feel strong (and lose weight as a by product)

Start my business up and make it successful

Save school fees up

Sort house out....

It all feels insurmountable at the moment, but I want to break it down into smaller goals and make a start! We can do this right?!

conflicted1234 · 15/04/2019 18:54

I'm in. Currently trying and failing to lose weight. House is in dire need of a massive clear out. Need to find some motivation from somewhere!

Newme67 · 15/04/2019 18:54

I’m in. I need to lose weight, start running decluttering the house and dirt my relationship out and that’s just for starters 😱 I need to break it down into small manageable goals

LittleMissBrainy · 15/04/2019 19:11

I'll join you! My addiction to sugar and eating crap is way out of control, I am fat, and stiff with arthritis which is getting worse so i decided to go big and do the 28 day super juice me plan. Today was day one and my goodness it was tough! I haven't told anyone except my husband that I'm doing it as I'm so convinced I'll fail! I woke this morning with the stinkiest cold to and it would have been really easy to just not start, but I did! And I did it all right! So I'm hoping that I'll only start to feel better from now!

hideandgoseek · 15/04/2019 19:12

Me please!

I need to:

Lose weight
Start exercising
Push myself to make friends
Start TOMM again because it really is life changing!

Rainbowsandrascals · 15/04/2019 23:43

Read the Marie Kondo book. It’s a quick and easy read but it will be an excellent starting point. Some of the other things on your list might fall into place once you start KonMarie.
Look up Styled by Susie on Facebook/ Instagram and look at her style analysis packages. Well worth the investment.

SchrodingersBrexit · 15/04/2019 23:45

Me!

I want to get fit
Get rid of my mum yum
Get serious about my spending and start being more frugal

Gottoimprove · 16/04/2019 10:10

I’m in! I’ll be back with my list later though as I need to choose goals (have so many I could write now but I need to focus on just 3/4 otherwise it all seems too much!)

sortingmylifeout1 · 16/04/2019 10:36

Welcome all

So we had planned to go away for a few days this week but I've not got around to organising anything and instead planning some quality time together on a budget! So far spent about 40'quid on a day out of and pizza. Not sure what to do today as weather rubbish but:-
I've got slimming world books ready and am meal planning
Have signed up for styled by susie
Ordered Jason vale book as wine consumption has crept up and not helped weight
Downloaded Marie kondo book
Booked a hair cut
Gone through ds drawers and put all clothes that he's outgrown in a bag for charity or eBay
Bribed ds to make bed and clear breakfast table!

Weighed this morning and I'm heavier than ever so need to focus! ☹️

Well done Sorting.

Rainbowsandrascals · 16/04/2019 14:21

Oh well done Sorting! You’re on it! Try keeping a diary / record / bullet journal to record your progress. You can refer back to it when you need some motivation. Keep us informed of your progress 😁

Lisette1940 · 16/04/2019 14:24

Not just you sortingmylifeout1. I'm in. Just started back to exercise. Eating for nutrition not eating empty calories.

Clutterfreeintraining · 16/04/2019 14:43

Wow, that's quite a list!!

Please may I join you all?

I have been trying (and mainly failing) to sort my life out for ages!!

Need to lose 4 stone
House needs a major overhaul
Improve fitness
Paperwork/accounts need a better system

What works best for me is to make lots of small, not too noticeable changes. The problem now is i can't think of anything small enough to build into routine that won't cause me too much trauma. I have zero motivation and quite desperately need to find some.

Oh and I turn 40 next month so would like to see a major transformation by then Grin

Theninjawhinger · 16/04/2019 20:23

I’ve had a good start here - sort of! I have moved my sons bedroom into my old office. It needs decorating, but it will hopefully mean a much better use of the house.

I’m drinking wine now so the diet can start tomorrow!

Incidentally, my friend used to be married to Jason Vale..... Grin

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 16/04/2019 21:19

And me!

I need to lose two stone, find some way of squeezing some exercise into an already packed schedule and sort loads of stuff out in the house. We moved 3.5 years ago and lots of stuff is still in boxes! And I need to actually finish some of the projects I’ve started (I’m looking at you, blanket I began last summer that’s still barely a scarf....)

RubySlippers77 · 17/04/2019 00:02

Great idea OP Grin

My aims are:

  • lose weight: specifically about 3 stone
  • become more organised: meal planning, more time to spend with DC etc
  • get keep the house tidy

I'm going to weigh in again tomorrow Sad Sad Sad and will report back then with more ideas. Like you OP I want to improve our communication, DP is full of little digs at me 'not bothering' to go to the gym like him but will he help out with the DC so I can go? Not a ruddy hope.

I loved the Jason Vale books theninjawhinger! Have to say I never got the hang of juicing but his books were overwhelmingly positive. Didn't realise he'd been married but this is going back a few years so maybe he hadn't been then?!
