It’s meant to be 20/21c and we’re going for a week . Going to be mainly sunny with a little bit of cloud! I’m really excited as I quite frankly didn’t think I’d be able to go on holiday ever with my little dd and now we can. I’ve got lots of floaty jumpsuits, dungarees culottes and dresses . Dd the same . Will it be too cold to swim? I’m taking swimming cosies and saddles or is that ambitious and I’ll just be in jeans and a t?

By the way I’m from the north of England so anything that’s not pissing it down and bleakly cold is tropical for me .

itll be nice weather. Id take short sleeves and cardigan or hoodie for the evenings. Swimming will depend on wind if relying on beaches, or if you have a pool, itll be fine.

Following with interest as we're also going!

We went back in Jan and it was quite warm then. Too cold to swim in sea or in heated pool but it was defo shorts weather. Especially when the sun was out.

Colleague has just come back from south tenerife and it was 24-26 every day. The north of the island is colder and wetter so all depends where you're going.

We went to Adeje every year at Easter for 10 years, only ever wore long sleeves when coming out of restaurants late at night

imamearcat · 14/04/2019 19:41

Unheated that was meant to say.

Easter is fab in Spain. Try to see the palm Sunday parades, not sure what they're called but they carry great heavy things with a Jesus on them. Try not to be too shocked that they look like the KKK.

It will probably be nice and warm in the daytime and fine to swim in a heated pool, but if you feel the cold, take a jacket, hoodie etc for the evenings.

I have many memories of DP sat outside a restaurant in the evening in knee length shorts and t shirt and me in a maxi dress with leggings underneath and a hoodie on top Grin.

If you go up the mountains, take warm clothes. It's fucking freezing.

Take a cardi for the evenings. I am just back from Adeje and it was chilly without one!

Got back from gran canaria yesterday and it was scorchio all day, but needed a jumper to sit outside in the evening. Still very pleasant. Take suncream! Definitely warm enough to swim in the sea.
