Fiber is going to kill me

Ok, maybe a small exaggeration!
Seriously though, gas beyond belief. I am trying to be good to my body, by increasing fiber, and in return, I am a gassy, in pain, tooting, bloaty mess.
It's not fair!

Any tips on not dying of gas?

Cut out the carbs especially grains.

I went keto and I don't even fart any more! It's amazing Grin

You need to increase water intake when you're increasing fibre

MortyVicar · 14/04/2019 17:45

You have to increase fiber in small steps, to let your system acclimatise.

If you do too much all at once, your innards will rebel.

I medically have to eat a low fibre diet (goes against all medical advice). Whilst discovering this with a medical dietician, I went through all 7 circles of hell. Hope you find relief

That stuff set off my gallbladder pain (Not even kidding) Felt like I was being repeatedly punch in the ribs.

I can't do lots of fibre, makes my IBS unbearable! It's not great for everyone.

Blackboot1 · 14/04/2019 18:46

Go for more soluble fibre over insoluble, increase water to match, take it slowly.

NorthEndGal · 14/04/2019 18:53

I'm going to try more water and slowing it down a bit
I can't keep being this farty, it's not fair on anyone
