Roast turkey at Easter?

I was planning on doing turkey with all the trimmings next Sunday but cannot find one anywhere (well, Waitrose or Sainsburys don't sell joints). Are turkeys just sold at Christmas? I didn't know that!!

Have you tried a local butcher?

I think aldi is selling turkey crowns from Thurs as I saw it advertised yesterday when I went into my local shop.

Lamb is for easter!!! I've not seen turkeys anywhere for a while.

Thanks - 'local butcher' is not something we have round here! Aldi is a way away - I might have a trip there later in the week. There's a joint of lamb in the oven roasting away right now. We didn't have turkey at Christmas and I just fancy the leftovers and trimmings.

They have turkey crowns in Costco if you can get to one/are a member/know someone who is.

Im having turkey next weekend too. I bought it on sale 39cents a pound after thanksgiving. Its taking up a lot of space in my freezer and it starting to annoy me Grin. Ill invite the DC home and feed em turkey

I only found out today that for some it is a tradition to have turkey at Easter. Ive never heard of it before but the pub we are going to for Easter lunch is also offering Turkey.

Sorry, not helpful.
