Where should I book a cottage?

We have decided that we want to book a cottage break / long weekend, DH, DM and me plus two dogs - but where to go?

Mom and I have limited mobility, we can get about a house OK, but not walk far, and less uphill. We'd like to go somewhere pretty, where we can go on nice drives and perhaps sit by the sea or a lake.

Where would you go?

Ah yes, important information! We are in the Midlands, we can travel anywhere really, but want to give Cornwall a swerve.

North Norfolk is beautiful. Not completely flat but fewer big hills than the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales. The area around Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea is beautiful. I recommend the fish and chips at Wells and the ice cream at Holkham. We have stayed a little bit inland at Walsingham and driven to the coast.

Go to Pembrokeshire! It’s absolutely beautiful and not too far from you. Lots of stunning beaches easily accessible. You’ll love it.
