... and no sign of any others. When should I worry?

Nothing to worry about at all... the next 4 should be the canines, they should come in by the time your wee one is about 33 months old.

CannyLad · 13/04/2019 21:42

Same here! What's to worry about? If they could hang on until LO reaches legal drinking age and can self medicate against the pain that would be fine and dandy IMO.

My 13-month-old only has two teeth 🤷 I did read somewhere that the longer they take to come through, the stronger they will be.

DD1 didn't get abt teeth until13mth she has them all now. DD2 is over 2 and still doesn't have them all yet. The dentist isn't worried so neither am I.

Singay · 13/04/2019 21:48

Mine was toothless until 14 months. She has a full set of teeth now.

eurochick · 13/04/2019 22:21

Mine didn't get any until she was 15 months (14 adjusted as she was prem). They all came through eventually.

I'm a dental nurse! Don't be concerned, all normal children develop at different ages!! If you need some reassurance go to see a dentist, you should easily be able to seek NHS care for your child! Also try the private dentists as some do offer NHS for children

So relieved by these replies! I was reading that she should have 8 by now and suddenly panicked there was something wrong. Glad to hear we’re ok

Wah, my 13 month old has 12 teeth! Why is she in such a rush? Scrapy breastfeeding is no fun!

Needallthesleep · 13/04/2019 22:34

You’re v v v lucky. And I am so jealous. My 15 month old has 12 teeth. She has been a nightmare for 3 weeks per tooth. So 36 weeks of her life taken up by teething 🙄

3in4years · 13/04/2019 22:37

He he Needallthesleep... My dd has only been alive for about 36 weeks since her first tooth appeared!

christinarossetti19 · 13/04/2019 22:37

My first child only had two teeth by 15 months. Her baby teeth were also late falling out and she's now 12 with most of her molars still to fall out.

There's a huge range in when teeth come through; it doesn't sound like you've got anything to worry about.

Leeeeemon36 · 14/04/2019 00:12

Teeth come at dribs and drabs or all together now. Nothing to worry about. 2nd options is better as they are not teething so long.

Camomila · 14/04/2019 00:22

My cousin didn't get any teeth until she was two!
She went for several x-rays at the dentist who reassured her parents they were there and they'd pop out eventually and they did.
