I want to go away Friday till Monday. I'm on a budget. It's just me. Within an hour and a half of Manchester. Would be happy with very basic accommodation. Do I have any chance of finding something?
Anyone know somewhere with vacancies?
I looked Woucher but couldn't find anything for Easter.
Where should I look?
Don't really want a city. Either countryside or seaside. Anyone?

Airbnb

Travelodge?

In the UK or abroad? Air BnB might be your best chance. Before kids, we just used to go into a travel agent's and see what offers there were for leaving the next day. But I don't even know if there are any physical travel agents anymore.

Lake District too far? Either there or somewhere seaside on north west or north east coast. I'd just look at places and search booking.com and lastminute.com.

This place has 30% off last minute holidays if you want a UK break

(Sorry, can't do links on phone)

Do you have a car or do you need somewhere accessible by public transport?

Any youth hostels available?

Blackpool might have vacancies?

Or you're supposed to be able to stay in university halls cheaply in the holidays.

Coconutsandcobbles · 13/04/2019 21:18

Yes- I've got a car.
I like the idea of staying in uni dorms but struggling to find any....

Yes, seen quite a few youth hostels. I love youth hostelling but really want my own room for this trip.

whitley bay?
It would be a good base to explore from

PotteringAlong · 13/04/2019 21:26

or Prestatyn if you go the other way?

BarbaraofSevillle · 13/04/2019 21:27

Youth Hostels do have small rooms but probably all booked up.

Would it be easier to find accommodation if you stayed in different places each night so instead of looking for somewhere with all 3 nights available in the same place?
