Where in the shops can you buy dairy-free Easter eggs?

I have looked in Tesco and Sainsburys but haven't found any, even though I have been told they would be. Where can I buy (preferably in a shop, rather than online) any Easter eggs suitable for a child who is allergic to dairy?

I've seen several alongside the other eggs. Had some in Asda today

daphine2004 · 13/04/2019 20:39

Both places you’ve mentioned. I’ve also seen them in Morrisons (store) - own brand and Moo ones.

dementedpixie · 13/04/2019 20:39

Moo Free is one brand

Waitrose had some when I looked last week.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/04/2019 20:40

They're in with the other eggs or the free from aisle. I've found / bought them from those places in Morrisons and Tesco and also seen them in Sainsbury's in those places.

Betsy86 · 13/04/2019 20:41

In Sainsbury’s they should be in the free from section i saw 2 types the other day plus some smaller chocolates shapes. In tesco they were with the standard eggs but next to the smaller creme eggs etc.
Disclaimer.... i dont spend all my time in chocolate aisle I just like to wander through slowly Grin

if the kid eats dark chocolate then you have a lot more choice

MrsVoleTheVet · 13/04/2019 20:41

They had moo free in Aldi the last time I was in there (probably 2 weeks ago)

Dimsumlosesum · 13/04/2019 20:41

Aldi, sainsbos, tescos.

Sparklingbrook · 13/04/2019 20:42

Yes, I saw the moo free ones in Waitrose today.

TheFuckfaceWhisperer · 13/04/2019 20:43

Definitely Asda

joystir59 · 13/04/2019 20:44

Most dark chocolate is dairy free

TooMinty · 13/04/2019 20:44

Do you have a local health food store? Ours has a range of dairy free. I suppose Holland & Barrett might do too?

Bowerbird5 · 13/04/2019 20:46

Sainsbury’s had some a few weeks ago. Did you ask any staff? I always find them helpful.
Alternatives would be to go to a health food shop. Holland and Barrett’s have had them in the past. Independent shops will probably have some.
We found some dairy free chocolates in Bowness on Windermere. Yummy.

Troels · 13/04/2019 21:02

I bought one in Aldi.

DerbyRacer · 13/04/2019 21:02

The Sainsbury's where I live still has some. I bought mine online from Tesco a few weeks ago. What about Holland and Barrett?

WanderingTrolley1 · 13/04/2019 21:04

Holland & Barrett.

Disfordarkchocolate · 13/04/2019 21:08

Tesco
Waitrose
Holland & Barrett
Sainsbury's
Morrison's
Hotel Chocolat - possibly dark chocolate only
Moo free and Choices are the nicest ones we've had.

FreezerBird · 13/04/2019 21:08

Most dark chocolate is dairy free

Yes, although it depends on how strict you need to be in avoiding dairy - some will have 'may contain' warnings as they're produced in factories which also use milk.

I found an amazing egg in Lidl for my milk-allergic, reptile-obsessed son - dairy free with a gecko on it.

eurochick · 13/04/2019 21:09

Waitrose have some.
