Yes they came in a lorry, on a Friday.

ASilhouetteAndNothingMore · 13/04/2019 19:10

My granny always had the green one. We used to drink it from a plastic beaker and eat skips Smile

nombrecambio · 13/04/2019 19:10

The milkman delivered them round our way... but only to the posh families. The ones who went abroad on holiday and had TVs with remote controls.

Branleuse · 13/04/2019 19:10

my nana used to get them for me, but my mum didnt

Warmhandscoldheart · 13/04/2019 19:11

Friday for us too, we were only allowed fizzy on the weekend. Cream soda was my favourite Smile

Orchidflower1 · 13/04/2019 19:11

Didn’t you used to get money back for “ the empties” ?

Blackandpurple · 13/04/2019 19:12

Yes, and went round taking bottles from doorsteps and using the 10p ti buy sweets.

Till my mum found out😂

Purplehammer · 13/04/2019 19:13

Where's the Dandelion and Burdock? Loved that.

mclady · 13/04/2019 19:13

My nan used to have these, they stayed in a crate behind the front door. Dandelion and Burdock was my favourite Smile

IncrediblySadToo · 13/04/2019 19:14

Nope. Clearly too young 😊

(Or more likely lived overseas at the time 🤣)

What era were they?

ScreamingValenta · 13/04/2019 19:14

Yes - brought by the milkman. Only at Christmas and birthdays, though. For the rest of the year we made do with orange squash.

Purplehammer · 13/04/2019 19:17

What about these.
Part of a balanced diet.

Yep. The joy of Pop Man day. Grin

PlatypusPie · 13/04/2019 19:26

Yes, though I remember it being Tizer, with a stopper top, bit like Kilner bottles. And Dip Dabs ! better than the yellow sherbet tubes with liquorice ‘straws’ than instantly bunged up.

iklboo · 13/04/2019 19:27

Dib Dabs poured into Corona cream soda!

AdaColeman · 13/04/2019 19:36

ikl you are a hooligan! Grin

AdaColeman · 13/04/2019 19:38

And you need a scoop of vanilla ice cream in there too!

iklboo · 13/04/2019 19:38

You know me Ada Wink

Butterymuffin · 13/04/2019 19:38

We had a different brand (can't remember what) that did pineappleade. That was lovely.

Willow2017 · 13/04/2019 19:49

Wasnt Corona but we had the lemonde man come round every week too.

Cream soda or red cola for me and lemonade for my dad lovely.
(you could get pinapple too)
And money back on the bottles was great if you got sent to the local shop for the messages and took back thier bottles and could keep the money to buy sweets Grin
