Suspected miscarriage

Hi new here.

I’m 20 years old, I’m not trying to have a baby, nor got any kids. For the past 3 weeks I have been bleeding loads. It started when I was still on the pill and I was very confused as to why I was bleeding as I have never spotted or bled on this pill and it’s been really good for me (I’ve been on the pill for almost 4 years) Yesterday my mum convinced me to go to the doctors to get it checked and I was expecting the doctor to say that the pill didn’t suit be anymore and I needed one try something new. I explained to the doctor I had been bleeding almost 3 weeks and had small clots in the blood. The doctor then told me I had a miscarriage, which was a total shock as I didn’t but even realise I was pregnant. He checked me and said my cervix was open and said I definitely had a miscarriage and then booked me in at the hospital for a ‘scrape’. When I got to the hospital I had urine test and a scan. the nurse who did the scan said there was no sign of pregnancy or ever had been (no waste from a miscarriage) and at this point I’m confused and in a traumatic state to have someone say I had a miscarriage and then another person saying I hadn’t.

I then had a doctor at the hospital come talk to me and say the urine sample showed I wasn’t pregnant and he also checked my cervix and said it wasn’t open? Making me even more confused. He also couldn’t understand why I have and still bleeding for 3 weeks.
I’m currently waiting on blood tests, and swab tests but I’m just wondering if anyone has been through something similar to this? If I have had a miscarriage? If it’s something else? I’m just very confused by all of this.

Thanks

How rotten for you.

GP’s can sometimes get it wrong and my instinct is to believe what the hospital staff are telling you and blood test results are showing.

Hopefully they can find out what the issue is and why you are bleeding and that it isn’t anything serious.
