What can I label with my new Label Maker? Eyes up the cat.....

So far I have done
food storage canisters
Any USB charging cable that isn't the ubiquitous "nokia charger"
The remote controls so that I know whether Now TV is on HDMI 2 or 3

I haven't yet labelled the machine itself, but Mabel's Labeller is going to get printed sometime!

What else...?

make up your own cleaning products and label them
a label has to go on the computer keyboard
label keys
stick a label on the back of your phone with your number
a label for medications
labels on drawers
i label everything and i also leave passive agressive notes on labels

I’ve labelled my nail varnishes (they are in black bottles!)
Obviously all kids’ lunchboxes and drinks bottles and plastic tubs for fruit etc.

Raera · 13/04/2019 16:39

Wheelie bins of course

HighNoon · 13/04/2019 16:41

Your airing cupboard shelves.
Single - Double - Kingsize
Hand - Bath - Bathsheet

Then you Marie Kondo the hell out of your linen. Enjoy your Sunday.

Wires! Cables! Tupperware boxes!

M0reGinPlease · 13/04/2019 16:43

I have found my people.

Ooo this thread has excited me. Off to purchase a labeller!

shouldwestayorshouldwego · 13/04/2019 16:56

Awaits labelled recommendations. This is my reserve present idea for DD. She doesn't know about labellers but when she discovers them she will love them when I am not borrowing it

I've labelled the cupboard under the sink so all the different types of cleaner have a "row." Same for bathroom cabinet. Also all the kids craft pots, all the Trofast.

MabelTheLabeller · 13/04/2019 17:06

Yes, to bathroom cabinets!

I've got an extremely good, if weird, system for organising stuff in little plastic crates in the undersink cupboards . But I'm the only one who understands why shampoo and Veet belong in the same box.
Once I label the box HAIR (cleaning, dyeing of, removing etc)it will all make sense...

It's a Brother h110 and it's just been reduced on Ryman's site to £17 (from the £22.50 I paid)
The official tape is dear, so I have bought cheaper generic stuff (but still on sample tape that came with machine

I have labelled sections of my built in wardrobes, mainly because I'm not really a systematic person. I have a Brother label maker, PTouch 1000 @shouldwestayorshouldwego

MabelTheLabeller · 13/04/2019 17:13

And the three different fuse spur switches in the airing cupboard are done!

You could label your phone number on the back of your phone. I did that. Don’t judge me, please.

Clutterfreeintraining · 13/04/2019 17:26

Ooh, I love the suggestion of labelling the remotes with their hdmi number. I rarely use the fire stick because it takes me half an hour to find it on the sodding tv HmmBlush

My label maker is mostly used by my childminding children (when I'm feeling particularly generous Grin), under very close supervision.

MabelTheLabeller · 13/04/2019 17:36

There's a muddle of plugs behind the computer begging to be labelled but my knees aren't up to crawling on the floor this afternoon

If there is a foreign language you would like to learn, you could label everything in your house with what it is called in that language. Good way to learn the vocabulary.

I’m probably totally outing myself here but what the hell...I also have a labeller...

I have labelled various plugs, sockets and switches around the house Immersion heater, dishwasher, fridge etc.

Also large tupperware type boxes/serving plates that I use to deliver food to church dos, pot luck meals and local homeless shelter etc all have my name and phone number on. They go through the dishwasher just fine.

WhatshouldIpay · 13/04/2019 18:57

I've labelled the electrical isolation switches around the house and bottles and jars I use for my toiletries when I go away. Do you have any folders you file things in? Ripe for labelling 😀
