Best bank account for 16yr old?

Is there a better type of bank account for a 16yr old or are they all much the same?

For anyone I would always recommend First Direct. DH and I have been with them for 25 years and I think they're fab. They usual top best bank polls - although in a recent one I think they were beaten by Metro Bank.

DS is with Barclays (by default as he had a children's savings account opened at a local branch for the novelty value of being able to go into an actual bank and pay in birthday money etc). He lost his bank card in his first week at uni last year and they were next to useless in terms of providing advice on the telephone and getting a replacement card to him.

Mine have Santander ones. They were opened online and had a decent interest rate

Thanks guys, I've also just been looking at Nationwide which looks quite good, in fact been looking at their other accounts and am tempted to change myself!
