What do you think Grandpa Pig did for a living?

So when Grandpa Pig isn't tending to his acres of land, he can be found hanging out at the Sailing Club/on his boat. I wonder what he did for a living to enjoy such a nice retirement? I think he worked in The City as a stockbroker.

Any other guesses?

(Mum of toddler DD currently watching Peppa Pig on a loop!)

Something a bit more matcho than Daddy Pig, maybe owned the company Daddy Pig worked for, definatetly more senior than Daddy Pig? Mummy pig married her 'dad', but not quite.
Oil extraction?

Her0utdoors · 13/04/2019 09:42

Granny Pig?
Surgeon?

Twooter · 13/04/2019 09:44

He worked in an office - peppa and George visited it once.

MockerstheFeManist · 13/04/2019 09:48

He imported and marketed bacon slicers.

It's in the Peppa Pig Horror Movie

PodgeBod · 13/04/2019 09:53

I can see Grandpa Pig as the bank manager

Pieceofpurplesky · 13/04/2019 10:05

Early years he was in the RAF (or piggy equivalent) then he worked in the city as a trader. Grandma Pig was an air hostess

Loyaultemelie · 13/04/2019 10:09

Grandpa pig is definitely ex forces followed by inventor. He made his millions by inventing something we all use every day.
Granny pig was either a Doctor or a nurse

KissingInTheRain · 13/04/2019 10:13

Grandpa Pig had a long and distinguished working life as an independent TV producer.

He finished his career pitching ideas for children’s animation series. One in particular has provided him with a very good pension...

mummyofdaughters · 13/04/2019 14:13

@Twooter I thought Peppa and George visited Daddy Pig at his office where he works with cement and something to do with surveying?

@Her0utdoors could definitely see Granny Pig as a surgeon. Probably a gynaecologist in the NHS with occasional private practice.

nauseous5000 · 13/04/2019 14:37

Dentist

Stravapalava · 13/04/2019 14:37

Grandpa Pig was totally in the forces in some kind of capacity. Or maybe some kind of engineer?

ReginaGeorgeous · 13/04/2019 15:56

Ex Navy.

managedmis · 13/04/2019 15:58

Brigadier.

SpinneyHill · 13/04/2019 15:58

I thought Navy too.

TitianaTitsling · 13/04/2019 15:59

Grandpa Pig is definitely ex-forces I'd also say Navy, possibly SBS? He then went on to invent and design self scanner machines for supermarkets.

Dothehappydance · 13/04/2019 16:06

Ex-MI5

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 13/04/2019 17:33

A brief spell in the Navy before he met Granny Pig when visiting a shipmate in the hospital where she was a ward sister and couldn’t bear to be parted from her. He spent the next 30 years commuting from their home in Sonning to his office in the City, where he was a partner in a stockbroking firm.

Loopytiles · 13/04/2019 17:35

He was Michael Winner.

DieCryHate · 13/04/2019 18:28

Definitely ex navy. I think Daddy pig is a Homer Simpson, he probably works with very clever people doing important things but they just let him tit around with their unused drawings. Mummy pig is sometimes seen working from her computer at home once daddy pig is back, so perhaps sexchat work or playing the stock market?

DieCryHate · 13/04/2019 18:29

Or matched betting or Etsy shop. Or younique

lordofthefries · 13/04/2019 18:32

I think ex-navy too. But definitely something matcho

AgnesNaismith · 13/04/2019 18:32

mummyofdaughters · 13/04/2019 20:51
