I've recently passed my test and need to get my first car but am not into cars at all and don't know what to get. I need an automatic, budget is up to £5500 but not sure whether to spend that or more like £2-£3000 for something cheaper in case it just goes wrong anyway at some point and isn't worth the money.
Thinking of something like a Skoda Fabia, VW Polo, Nissan Micra etc but not sure whether to go to a dealer or risk a private sale, which cars/models/years are the best to look at for my budget etc? I need to drive a lot for work so need something reliable but still cheap to insure and maintain. Bit lost!
