Why might my GP be calling me?

My GP surgery tried calling me on my mobile about 7.30pm last night - they didn't leave a message. I haven't been to the doctors for over a year and have no outstanding tests results due, neither am I on any medications, not do I have any long term health issues that need monitoring.

Any ideas what they're after?

Wrong number or perhaps they are checking you haven’t moved out of the area?

Cailleach · 12/04/2019 20:49

Ok, ta.

Mine once phoned at random to ask if I smoked because they were updating their records.

Ring them back and check?

NameChangeSameRage · 12/04/2019 20:52

To remind you a smear or something is due?

HeyThoughIWalk · 12/04/2019 20:53

Probably updating records or reminding you that you need a smear test/child needs a checkup or something like that.

I tried calling back but couldn't get through. Oh well, if it's important I'm sure they'll call back.

You haven't recently turned 40, have you? They invite you for a general health check when you hit 40.

Cailleach · 12/04/2019 21:01

I am 42 so have already had those tests but ty.

Maybe they called your number my mistake and were trying to get through to another patient with a similar name/number?
I’m sure if they needed to speak to you they would have left a message.
No harm in calling them in the morning to check I suppose, but I bet it was just a mistake.

KooMoo · 12/04/2019 21:17

My guess is wrong number. Just ring up and check this is the case.

Mine rang to book me in for a flu jab
