Some talk at work around holidays and Neilson keeps getting a mention

Are they any good?

Love them personally. Great activities, good food, good rooms, great kids' clubs.

I won't need kids clubs but like the sports side of what I've heard so far

The activities are great and the teaching is good IMO. There's generally people of all levels doing each sport from beginners to hardcore experienced people. I cycle, windsurf and do fitness and DH sails and loves the Laser racing.

The only thing I don't understand is the people who go on the holiday and then spend two weeks loafing by the pool. Absolutely fine if that's what you want for your holiday, but I can't for the life of me figure out why you'd pay for Neilson in that case...

No I don't understand that bit either

A pool is only interesting for about an hour. Then I've had enough!

The Kids Clubs are the usual kids clubs though. They do their RYA certificates too etc. Go on their site and have a look at what they do. If you are fully involved in the adult activities (eg. sailing courses etc) you won't be able to have your kids with you.

We had a 9 year age gap between our kids and it was a great holiday to keep adults, teens and toddlers all very happy.

Yes love Neilson. Lots of posts on here about the good and bad bits.
