Spot on toddlers face won't heal, any tips?

DD is quite a moist child. Lots of spit and dribble. She sometimes gets a spot at the corner of her mouth. She has one now and it won't heal as she keeps picking at it. Any tips on how to get her to stop touching it? I have put metanium on it and am wanting her hands lots. She is a manky creature though, would come home dirty from a soap factory.

Keep it moist while she's awake, so she can't catch any scab to pick at. Maybe salt water bathe it regularly, giving it a little scrub with the cotton wool, then putting metanium or sudocrem on it.

It might be angular cheilitis, which is a fungal infection. I'd get the pharmacist to look at it.

Ooh it could well be that. Although this spot started at the corner of her lips and has now gone a bit south. I will get to the chemist tomorrow

Sounds like impetigo? Best talk to the GP as it's very contagious.

Centraben. DD has this then pulled it so she looked like she had a Chelsea Smile Sad

We applied it again and again and again and it eventually shifted. Tricky tho.

I don't think impetigo. It has been there a few weeks and not spread at all, I think the angular wotsit fits with her being quite moisty
