Buying a house is so stressful!

We have just lost out on another house; it went to best and final offers and we lost. I wish we had offered more. It was perfect for us really.
I feel really down today, there are no other houses we like to view at the moment. My emotions have been all over the past few weeks, such highs and lows.
I don't know why I am posting really... I just feel sad that we are back to square 1 again.

Hello. I feel your pain. Buying my house 12 years ago is one of the most stressful things I’ve done. You say you had your eye on one but lost it, wait till you do find one and then have to go thro the process! Like you say its just ups and downs and worries and waiting to see what happens.

I’m currently selling my flat, with the added stress of extending the lease at the same time, and the residents assoc has mismanaged getting some work done years ago and someone paid for it out of his own pocket without seeking consent from anyone else. I challenged this at the time. Now that person has found a loophole where I might pay more for the lease extension. Its all a waiting game and a load of people trying to do right when we don’t really know what that is. And solicitors cost time and money. I have a buyer who is prepared to wait, but it could easily fall thro. Meanwhile I moved away to try a life elsewhere and want to sell and settle where I’ve moved to, and this could mean I have to jack it all in here and go back to sell, and then start again. Not the end of the world in reality as no kids etc but worrying and unsettling all the same.
