Soft trousers/leggings for 4-5 year old boy

Can anyone suggest where to find soft trousers that aren't jogging bottoms for my nearly 5 year old?

We've typically bought loose style leggings from Zara and h and m but in the older age bracket they don't seem to do the same sorts of styles

Any ideas? Thanks!

Gap usually have some with loose (rather than elasticated) ankles?

supadupapupascupa · 11/04/2019 19:13

Try Boden. Also next.

Try some Instagram sellers. The leggings from Beautiful Dinosaur are brilliant on my 4 year old.

Boden have lots. These are lovely and reduced:

Thanks everyone. Will take a good look once I've conquered bedtime!

We're not averse to cuffs at the bottom it's more the thickness of joggers that we're trying to avoid.

Fred & Noah? Although not sure what size they go up to

MIL buys DS jeggings from Asda.
Do they have to have "boys" prints on them? Villervalla do nice unisex ones.

whensmynexthol1day · 11/04/2019 21:44

No Minnie. That's why we've always loved the Zara stuff - very gender neutral. Will have a look at Asda! Thanks 😀

My Dd lives with n the black and navy leggings from the girls section in Next. She's a dirt magnet so rarely wears pale colours. But you wouldn't know they were boys/girls. They are just leggings, I think they look very cute on boys! Dd won't wear jeans or joggers, I think it's the waist band/restriction.

Polkadotdelight · 11/04/2019 22:14

Last summer DS would not wear shorts, even in the heatwave he refused and would only wear trousers. I was buying plain navy or grey girls leggings (a size up) for him for the thinness of fabric and he looked fine.

katealana · 11/04/2019 22:15

Tobias and the Bear do great leggings

wtftodo · 11/04/2019 22:16

Tootsa macginty do gorgeous soft leggings / baggy leggings, usually 50% off in sale too.

My DD currently has some v lightweight blue joggers from H&M boys section, they are leggings thickness

livinglongerwithcalgon · 11/04/2019 22:22

Another here to say H&M, they do leggings as well as very lightweight joggers. All cotton, very good price and often in 3 for 2 essentials as well.

I buy nice ones from Mother care for my 5 year old son. If you have mother care near you is good to go into the shop than online
