is it too late for it to now hit my bank account today? I've been assured it's been done and would be in my account for close of business but it isn't

Up til 6pm I think

dementedpixie · 11/04/2019 17:38

When did they send it? Can take up to 3 hours to receive it

AlpacaPicnicc · 11/04/2019 17:39

Supposedly this morning. I think I was expecting it by 5pm but maybe it could go to 6? Thanks

CHAPS works from 06:00 to 18:00 on working days.

Kummerspeck · 11/04/2019 18:33

I had something transferred to me last year which took a day and a half. I assumed it was because it was a larger sum than usual (5 figures)

kaytee87 · 11/04/2019 18:34

Sometimes it depends how much it is. Could be subject to further checks.

AlpacaPicnicc · 11/04/2019 18:39

Well it didn't turn up.

It's a large sum I suppose, depending on what is considered large? Five figures.

Sounds dodgy to me - sorry.

caughtinanet · 11/04/2019 18:44

It depends on the situation, if it's unusual it might have been delayed for checking.

Can you ask the person sending it to give you a copy of the confirmation that it's been sent

AlpacaPicnicc · 11/04/2019 18:52

@Starryskiesinthesky

Oh no no it isn't dodgy at all! It's a trust I've dissolved. Unless Canada life are dodgy

It's just bloody annoying as they assured me it would be done today

If the bank have processed it between 15:30 and 18:00 today then it will be in the system and the funds will credit your account at 6am tomorrow morning.
