Can a holiday with young kids really be relaxing and enjoyable?

Me, partner, 3 year old and 1 year old.
Looking to go in August or possibly late October.
From 2-4 nights
UK preferred.
Any ideas for us?
Thanks!

I think they can if you're realistic about what to expect (and accept that a lot of it is same shit/different place when you have kids!)

We've done 4 nights in a caravan for maybe £100 before (is it too late for you to check the Sun holidays).

Have a look and see what's in the area/go for long walks/go swimming or bowling or something you don't do at home/try and factor in being able to eat out every evening so you don't have to cook and wash up (some places have good happy hours or kids eat free etc)

We had a couple of good nights in Scarborough a few years ago with young DD. Went to a gorgeous Italian restaurant, watched the entertainment in the hotel, went to the arcades etc the hotel was fairly inexpensive and had a pool too which was nice.
