Please help. My last LMP was 16/02 so I should be around 7 weeks pregnant. I had bad lower stomach pains on Friday 29/03 so I was referred to EPU for a scan on Wednesday 03/04. They couldn't see any evidence of a pregnancy about from thickened womb lining. They did blood a test and my hcg was 1326.
They repeated the bloods 48 hours later, hcg had risen to 1688. They advised me to go back in a week for another scan.
I lost a small amount of blood over the weekend but didn't have any pain at all.
I returned for another scan on Wednesday 10/04 where again they couldn't find any evidence of a pregnancy but they said my womb lining had got thicker. They also did another blood test, hcg had risen again to 2157.
They have suggested I go back tomorrow for more bloods and if they have risen again they have suggested I have methrotrexate.
This will be my 3rd failed pregnancy since November so I don't want to have methrotrexate as I have been told you can't try again for 6 months.
Is it all possible that the baby is just hiding somewhere and it is isn't ectopic.

Is there any chance of a normal pregnancy with the hcg levels rising so slowly?

I had nearly this exact same situation a few years ago. Eventually I had quite a bit of pain and a ‘shadow’ was visable in one of my tubes. I had the methotrexate. I was advised I could start trying again after 3 months though?

Sorry you’re going through this Flowers
