Help with Ryan Air booking?

I try to book with a single 10 kg check in bag (I think that's the deal).
But the display suggests I haven't booked a checkin bag at all, and still need to pay £39 to check a bag.

Have I or not? So confused!
Usual hassle, 10 minutes left to book...

Wait... I think I figured it out!
10 kg is what I'm being charged for.
So confusing, when it keeps saying NO BAGS under Check-in baggage.
Stupid Ryan Air.

That's a 10kg cabin bag you've booked, not a checked in bag

Yeah it looks like you've booked a 10kg cabin bag rather than checked in. It's £8 to take them on the plane with you or £10 to check it in if that helps.

Apparently the 10kg bag goes thru security with me all the way to the gate, but they take it off me at the gate & put it into the hold (I guess I will collect with rest of checked luggage on luggage carousel). So confusing (!!)

You have to pay for hand luggage with Ryan air that then goes in the hold but has the hand luggage restrictions. Unless you pay for priority extra you then get your hand luggage on the plane with you.
All you will be able to take is a handbag on the plane.
To have proper luggage allowance for example liquids etc you need to have checked luggage too

Add priority boarding both ways and you’ll be able to take it on board, as well as a handbag / rucksack

Oh Fuck.
I was so frigging stressed about the bag rules that I managed to book departure one day earlier than I meant to. I know I can ring them within an hour & they will probably change it for no charge, but OMG what a hassle I was trying to avoid.

This is what YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES LEFT TO BOOK type messages do to a person. I normally can ignore marketing pressure but I needed to get this booking chore over with. Great Job Opodo & Ryan Air. You'll be paying the customer assistant who helps me sort it out.

Can I face the phone call hassle or not. 52 minutes left to decide....

Do the change on the instant chat on their website - the phone call will cost you a hell of a lot more than their salaries time

Thanks... I've decided I can live with an extra day in the sun. I decided not to try to change it.
I think I remember why I don't travel much now, though.
