Carers allowance

I am currently in receipt of carers allowance for my youngest 2qutie, now my 6 6ears old has been diagnosed with dyspraxia and his consultant has told me to apply for DLA, I just would like to know if as a single parent you can get carers allowance twice or not????

No you can only get it once.

As far as I know you can only claim one lot of carers allowance even if you care for multiple people.

Only one lot of carers but two lots of dla, but a warning, I've helped quite a few families with applications and dyspraxia is usually turned down unless combined with other conditions eg dd is autistic and dyspraxia
