Wasn’t sure which bit to post this in but was wondering if anyone has had experience with having cancer and dealing with the DWP? I’m currently on Income Support after wrongful dismissal when I was pregnant and am a lone parent. My DD is almost 3. They’ve recently been asking me to go to ‘back to work’ sessions but I’ve got a 2 week wait appointment to confirm what is possibly a melanoma that’s has spread to my lymph nodes as it’s located on my armpit. The doctor said it doesn’t look great but obviously can’t give a diagnosis. Will they still make me do the back to work interviews until I’m diagnosed? Still waiting for a call to give me an appointment, I just feel so sick I’m convinced DWP staff will be harsh on me
