Tasteful rainbow bedding for a boy??

I'm not asking much am I?! We've looked at roughly 7 million so far and everything is either 'too sad' 'too confusing' or 'not quite right'. It's been going on for days and my head hurts. Can anyone help??

Zara have some lovely ones or I like the Next one too.

Fazackerley · 10/04/2019 09:35

Are you serious? Your 7 year old is over thinking bedding?!

Maybe she means her husband?

TitusP · 10/04/2019 09:41

@Fazackerley OP's son has probably come up with an idea in his head and is now trying to find it in real life. It's not unusual, I have done it many a time, no need to be so harsh.

KittiesInsane · 10/04/2019 09:43

Get him the world's cheapest white pillow case and a set of fabric pens?

Palominoo · 10/04/2019 09:44

Buy rainbow fabric and make your own.

NC4Now · 10/04/2019 09:45

Maybe something rainbow stripey rather than actual rainbows?

like this

shakeapoo · 10/04/2019 09:55

@Fazackerley he's 6 & a complex little character! I'm indulging him because it's the first time he's had a proper room so want it to be lovely for him... but also want to get the damn bedding ordered.

What about just using blocks of colour? Sheets, duvet cover, valence, pillowcases, cushions racha different rainbow colour?

crumpet · 10/04/2019 10:05

And then frame some posters

WildFlower2019 · 10/04/2019 10:10

This is a blue duvet set with rainbows printed on, so if blue is one of your sons favourite colours, he might like this one: https://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod107011100013060046811944-1

It's on sale too, bargain!

shakeapoo · 10/04/2019 10:13

Ok he's said he doesn't want actual rainbows, just 'rainbow colours' so maybe I could just do contrasting colours for duvet/sheet/pillow and a throw or something so all together it's a rainbow?

DaisyDreaming · 10/04/2019 10:14

Don’t order from Debenhams although that set it is lovely!

whitesoxx · 10/04/2019 10:18

Tie dye bedding could work

coffeeaddiction · 10/04/2019 10:24

H &m had a lovely one

shakeapoo · 10/04/2019 10:31

I'll look at H&M and Zara now, they're 2 I haven't tried yet. I'm sure he would love tie dye but not sure my eyes can cope with it, so I'm going to hold off on showing him that for now!

Our nearly 7 year old DS is delighted with this!! Its from primark ( its hanging on line at moment)

Tasteful rainbow bedding for a boy??
shakeapoo · 10/04/2019 11:28

@listsandbudgets that's ideal! Most of them are too bright or too subtle. It's hard to find a good middle ground. Zara looks really good though. DS is struggling to cope with the decision making so has agreed to let me pick!!

I totally relate to this search- ds2 (13) finds all normal duvet covers boring. So this week we are tie dying a plain white one with a lot of bright colours. Not quite sure how it's going to turn out. Confused
