I just returned from dropping my DS at nursery and as I was crossing the (busy) road to get to my flat a man in a car with tinted windows slowed down and started staring at me. I didn't make eye contact, just looked down and carried on walking. He sped off and drove away but then two seconds later I saw him turn around and drive so he was pulling up alongside me and continued to stare. He had to move on as there were cars behind him so I went into my flat but then when I looked out of the window two minutes later I saw he'd got out of his car and was looking up and down the street. Couldn't see his car, he must have parked it.

Anyway now I'm really freaked out. Need to go back out for shopping but feel worried he's still lurking, though I can't see him any more.

Being ridiculous I know. I had an absolutely horrible traumatic experience a couple of months ago which started out a bit like this so I'm on edge.

Talk me down?

Also why was he waiting for his friend over 2 hours after the first car incident?

theweeenglishfella · 09/04/2019 14:20

well he obviously wasn't waiting for a friend, that was just a lie for the police.

Anyway I have been out and back to the shop safely.

Well done, OP. You're so brave! Star

Of course he wasn't waiting for a friend.

Glad you called the police and that they chased him off. Hope you’re okay Flowers

I parked up in a busy city centre car park years ago. Suddenly a bloke, 60ish, knocked on my car window. I let it down slightly and he just said ‘nice car, I used to have one of these’, I said ‘Oh did you, yes it’s great’ and put my window up and waited for him to go. My car was a Golf not really worthy of a Wow...Then he walked off to the lifts and was still there when I walked past ( down the stairs, I wasn’t getting in a lift with him) A few weeks later I saw him again, he was just sort of hanging round.
Nothing terrible, but aren’t some people (men) weird!?
Ive also had men I’m on nodding terms with go ‘You never talk to me’!!??
No that’s right I don’t why does it bother you!? Jesus!!
