Why are headboards so expensive?

Just that really. Looking to buy a new bed and the cheapest decent looking headboards are £300+ it seems an awful lot of money for not very much.

I know, I love the wraparound ones on Loaf but they are ££££

itsinchicago · 08/04/2019 23:11

Bizarre, isn't it?

Thanks I had a look on eBay, definitely some at more reasonable prices there.

Argos.

You can buy fabric and recover if you need (staple it on tight).

I really regret spending £££ on my first headboard.

ThunderStorms · 09/04/2019 00:33

Staple the fabric over - don’t take off the old fabric.

I got my headboard on a shop through instagram, cheap and I love it. Happy to PM you the details?

Not sure I can post the site here?

Got one for £5 from local charity shop and covered it in a tenners worth of fabric with a staple gun, took all of 15 mins and looks brilliant as long as you get it right and lay the fabric straight, just like wrapping a gift!

Got ours on Amazon for £55 - I love it

The fabric ones look lovely but I would worry about how hygienic they are and how to clean them
