Thats really is long though, perhaps you mean an hour or so? the Trial of Mladic i also on Iplayer atm and Srebrenica a cry from the grave is good.

This is my specialist subject so let me know if you want any more stuff on it.

Backwoodsgirl · 08/04/2019 20:59

I remember a film called “shot through the heart” that may be of interest

No, I really did mean 'long' long form, so several hours is perfect, thanks m. I'm watching the Trial of Mladic with DS now, and we were hoping there was something in-depth available to watch next.

I'll look for the other one you mention too.

Well if its Mladic you're interested in- 'Srebrenica a cry from the grave' would be perfect as it deals directly with his crimes. (if your sn is old enugh and not going to be disturbed by what is some very disturbing stuff)

Avoid at all costs one called The Weight of Chains, unless you are interested in seeing what serbian lies and propaganda about their role looks like.

Maybe have a quick look into yugoslav history--Chetniks, Ustasha, Kosovo and the Islamic conquest to understand why they all want to kill each other.

The best one for the later Kosovo war is called The Valley, can be found on channel 4s player thingy

Don't worry, he's 20.

I was a teenager at the time and we're both a bit disappointed in ourselves that we don't understand how it all fits together better.

Who produced that for them, then?

Well it was a 3(at times more) sided war. Ridiculously cmmplicated.

It was put tgether by a serb-canadian film maker. Its very common among Serbs to deny any wrongdoing still and they align themselves with Russia.

RubberTreePlant · 08/04/2019 21:18

Yes, I see.
