Seagull tapping on my window

We have lived here almost 8 months now and in the last 3 months or so weve had several visits from a seagull coming to my spare bedroom window and tapping and just being noisy. In all honesty it doesnt bother me (except when im trying to sleep because it wakes me up even though my room is the opposite end of the house) but its just really strange. My baby is due in a month, so therefore we think perhaps the seagull can sense this? Im not sure why but thats the only thing i can think of that could be the reason for the increase in visits. Hes been 3 times today, and he has no problem with me watching him or filming it, as long as i dont go in the room hes trying to get too... The area behind my house is soon to be knocked down(its currently factory buildings) to make way for a leisure complex to be built?

I were lots of seagulls do this - might be waiting for food. My friend had one for years was just his resting place.

It's probably nesting on your roof. There is one at my dc's school that taps in the hall skylight. It's really loud.

@Blackteaplease We had a seagull at my school who would do like tap dancing during class all the time too! It does make me jump if im in bed, but once I know its steven (yes i have named him) then its fine. Its like hes become a pet!

I also work in a pub and used to be visited by a seagull all the time too (Hed actually come and stroll around, and climb on the tables etc but i havent seen him recently, perhaps hes followed me home...?(Im joking)
