Oh what now, EBay? Fixed price items can now only be listed as Good Til Cancelled

Okay so as of 1st April (this is not an April Fool), all fixed price (aka Buy It Now) listings can only be listed as Good Til Cancelled. So this "amazing" recent system of giving private sellers 1,000 free listings per month is now only valid for auctions, apparently. Only a small percentage of sellers actually use auctions these days. I stopped a few years ago as they hardly ever work for me. The 1,000 free listings are only valid on listings of up to 30 days, so Good Til Cancelled listings charge you 35p to auto-renew once a month. I know they have technically been charging for this for a while now, but it always came out of my 20 free listings per month as I only sell about fifteen items at a time. So now I'm actually going to end up paying more.

I got stung on last months invoice for listing fees when previously I had none. I've just removed my listings for now.

So did I. I contacted them via the online chat help thing and they actually waved the fees as I hadn't realised. But they did say I'd be charged from then on, and they advised me to take down some of my long-term listings and relist them as 30 days. So I did that with all the ones that didn't have any watchers. But now when that 30 days runs out, I'll have to list them as Good Til Cancelled as there's no other choice.
