I keep getting ads on my Facebook for Shein clothing. Some of the items look lovely and the prices are great. Has anyone bought from them? Just wondering what the quality is like.

Me too. All looks to good to be true though.

I looked up some reviews online and they were all awful, so much so they put me off ordering. Apparently all the sizes are miles off and it's literally impossible to return them. But haven't actually ordered myself so can't say.

I agree though, the clothes look lovely

Hi I have bought a couple of tracksuits & a pair of trainers from there. The prices are really reasonable, the quality is good & they wash well. I would say on par with Primark for pricing & quality.

I bought years ago once and never again. The sizing is terrible. Runs much smaller than the sizing states. I’m a 10 and it was all way to small. The quality however was great....

I've bought a few things from them. As long as you look at the size guide and buy what fits your measurements instead of 10 12 14 etc you'll be fine. If you're unsure go for the bigger size. Quality is good for the prices.

DD gets things from there. Come from China we always pay the 99p for secure delivery and arrives fine but does take 10 days or so. Quality is very good for price but sizing is erratic and differs for each item.

Each item does come with measurements which are pretty accurate and reviews give clues as to big / small. Often a size 10 in the UK is medium or large or even sometimes extra large there.

GrumpySausage · 08/04/2019 10:14

As pp have said the sizing is a bit off. Always order bigger.

I've had two tops from there and the quality on one was terrible whilst the other was fine. You get what you pay for.

I ordered 3 shirts all in the same size but different styles. Two were perfect but one was so small I’d have struggled to get it buttoned up on an infant. Quality on that one was poor, but the other two were good!

Penguinpandarabbit · 08/04/2019 10:35

I find about 75% of time need to go up in sizing but sometimes sizing is similar to UK and have even had odd large one - the guides they give for each item are pretty accurate but each is different and some clothes none of sizes fit me and I am a ten!

Also watch for clothes being see through with light colours but quality of ones we have had has been high for price.

I saw a beautiful grey floral organza dress made by Shein, in the charity shop, the label said large but I think probably a size 10-12 (which I'm not), looked very nice but the top half from waist to neckline was very small, I think they base their sizing for the asian market who generally are more petite than the UK market? When I was in HK I looked like a giant compared to the local ladies

It’s so hard to know what to do. There are some things that look lovely that I’d really like.

I bought a couple of tops last year - one was OK-ish, one was really thin and awful quality, and they took absolutely ages to come. I seem to remember the returns process looking like a right faff as well, so I kept the crappy one and just put it in a charity bag.
