Poole, Dorset, Wetherspoons type place, any ideas?

Catching up with friends for dinner and drinks, they're in their 50s, who'll be in Poole, near the boating lake, in a motel. We'll have a car. Not sure they're that adventurous, so, maybe the All Stars Diner? Or a bit further away?

Your thoughts welcome.

Antelope Hotel on the old high street? Haven’t been in a long time but used to be quite nice.
Slug and lettuce and the jolly sailor both do weatherspoony type foods as well.

Or there is a Wetherspoon on the quay, and one by Sainsbury’s on the high street, if you actually want a Wetherspoon

Ah my home town...how I miss it. Places on The Quay are nice, Slug and Lettuce. I remember when Fatty Arbuckles was on the road leading to Quay

You mean they're near Poole Park?

I'd go to the Cliff in Canford Cliffs. Really nice pub with good food. 10 min drive from the park.

We are going to the Antelope for a family birthday (I mean a big one, lots of people from different areas) and the menu looks sort of harvester - esque if that's what you are looking for.

Thanks, all!
