Achilles Tendonitis

I have developed this in the past few months and I am devastated at how much it is affecting my daily life. I’m in my early 30s.

I stretch, and use anti-inflammatory cream but nothing’s changing. I have shoes with heel lifts which help me day to day. I tried acupuncture which didn’t do anything.

Looking around it seems like there is no happily ever after for this :(

Can anyone offer any help?

See a decent physio. DH had this last year and was running again within weeks after doing his physio properly and regularly.

I would try the massage, exercise and stretch route as in Brad and Bob
But their demonstration of the 'eccentric' stair exercise is not that clear so would look for another video of that one, as it's important not to put too much weight on the injured side when going back to the starting raised position. Some runners' sites will have examples as it's a common running issue.
