Two year old birthday party

Hi,

I'm having a birthday party for my daughter who will be two this month. It is on a Sunday and is 11-1.

As the children are only young it's not going to be anything fancy just a few family and friends and their children who are around the same age. They also don't need to stay for the full 2 hours (I've made everyone aware of this).

I'm going to do little picnic type lunches for the children and give little party bags out at the end which will basically be a slice of cake and a few little bags of chocolate.

I was just going to put some nibbles on for parents such as crisps, nuts, pizza etc. Do others think this will be ok or should I put more/proper food on? There will probably be about 12 parents.

TIA

Sounds perfect for that age group.

Sounds nice to me. I'd be tempted to do a couscous salad/sandwiches for parents though, as I know you say they can leave early but people feel obliged to stay for the cake cutting and party bags.

My view is that when the children are that small, for an 11-1 party you should be giving the adults something that would count as lunch. Pizza's fine, it doesn't need to be complicated.

And YY to no one feeling able to leave until you've cut the cake.

My 2yo nap time is 12-2 with lunch at 11.30. Is it only me?
Everything else sounds fine
