Holiday ideas

Just need inspo really. We're all going to the lakes at the end of September but I'd like to take my 3 year old to the seaside for a few days before then. I can't drive so needs to be somewhere we can get to easily via train from London.

Any ideas? Reccommendations?

Brighton is fun but I think the beach is pebbles.

If you are after a sandy beach then Broadstairs or Margate are doable on the train from St Pancras. You can pop up to Whitstable one day which is a really pretty town as well (but pebbly beach).

Also really love the beach at West Wittering and pretty cottages near by (not much else). You can get a train to Chichester and then a bus to the village.

Bournemouth has seven miles of sandy beaches as well as shops, restaurants, cinema etc
