Hotel industry jobs

Other than managerial roles, what job opportunities are there within the hotel industry?

Meetings sales/planners. Mon-fri technically 9-5. Did it for years and loved it. Very transferable so you can do that job anywhere in the world for any company. Money not great, but hotel industry is because you love it, not for for the money.

Revenue strategy
Reservations
Proactive sales (negotiating rates with tour companies, booking sites, large scale boomers eg companies who b Oks lots of rooms)
Housekeeping porters
Housekeepers
Concierge
Front desk
Admin roles like PA to general manager, front office or housekeeping admin (organising rotas etc)
Training roles eg training new staff or running/designing inductions, and running training sessions for everything from team work to food hygiene
Accounts eg sales or purchase ledger, stores (eg purchasing)
Meetings and events teams eg, day to day running around looking after events/setting up rooms
Maintenance, eg decorators, behind the scenes maintence, the people who come and sort it out if your room tv breaks/plughole is blocked etc
There are a LOT of varied jobs in hotel industry

Food and beverage staff eg chefs, waiting staff, bar staff, kitchen porters
Grounds people
Restaurant designers at head office
Air conditioning technicians
Also head office: marketing, PR, legal, website/digital folk for social media
