Anyone use frozen avocado

Hi

I love avacado but im the only one in the house who does so feel like i waste so much of each fruit each time i buy one so dont buy one as often as id like

Has anyone used the frozen avacado for avacado on toast?

Ive tried to find some reviews online but have failed miserably.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

It's grim, sorry. Wrap it up well though and leave the stone in and the second half should last a few days more.

It's ok in home made guacamole but it's never the same as fresh

I find them very slimy unfortunately

They’re ok in smoothies, but not for eating on toast or salads

I clicked on this thread because I actually bought some frozen avacado last week, for the same reasons as you op.

Sorry to say it was absolutely disgusting!
It has a really weird taste, nothing like avocado at all, I can’t even explain how bad it was, I actually gagged. I had to bin the lot.

I’ve got a bag in the freezer that I keep forgetting about (only had it a month) because we thought we’d try it. I’ll check we’ve got all the ingredients for guacamole, then...

I get the frozen avocado chunks from tesco as much less waste than using half an avocado etc and I prefer to shop just once a week.

It's fine - not as nice as fresh and looks a bit duller, but v easy for a quick bit of quacamole. I just do a quick mash up with lemon juice, salt & pepper, tomatoes, to have with wraps or chilli.
