I want another baby

As the title I want another baby. Unfortunately I have had surgery that means it is more complicated. The fatality risk is at about 4% which is what it was with my first
2 but the rate has risen for complications to 40% for serious complications ie stroke etc. I want another baby but I have 2 DC (12 and 10) and I don’t want to leave them without me.

Bless you, such a hard situation to be in, I would maybe talk to some specialists and see what care they can offer if you was to fall pregnant. See what exactly the risks are and what they think. Good luck x

I am so sorry OP but a risk of 40% is huge. You'd be really selfish to put your family through that. Im sure that sounds harsh but it's the way it is. P,ease consider other options.

Sorry you’re in this position. Flowers

With risks like that, surely you’d be mad to try again. What does your partner think?

It’s hard making peace with your family not being exactly as you’d envisaged it but for the sake of your children, you’re better doing that than being dead. Counselling can help.

Thank you for your comments I know you’re right. I think it would be easier if they said there was a 40% mortality rate it’s the grey area that makes me think. I wouldn’t ever want to leave my DC without me or for them to think they are not enough.
