Alternative thermometers -

Just realised this week that I judge the house temperature by my butter dish.
Any other esoteric thermometers?

Cats. They won’t go out if it’s wet and eat more if it’s cold.
Dog. Needs her fan on if it’s hot.

Location of cat? Doormat or inconveniently in the middle of the floor=warm. Wedged under radiator or looking pointedly at wood burner = cold.

My cat is elderly Wolfie, he never wants his nose out in the fresh air. I send him out to the garden against his will every now and again...

Definitely the butter dish in this house. Used to be the cat but we couldn’t face getting a new one when our old girl finally purred her last.
