Hotels near Snowdon?

Hi. I’m looking to find a nice hotel near Snowdon, but I’m struggling. I think I’m just not looking in the right place. I can find loads of hostels, cottages etc. But I’d like a modern hotel for 2 nights in June for 2 adults.
Don’t mind a drive of half an hour or so. It takes 2 hours to drive to it from home, so much more of a drive on the day seems a bit silly.

Any suggestions welcome I also realise that just because it’s June, doesn’t guarantee brilliant weather at the top. We went at the beginning of March and it was snowy white out and cloudy (and quite challenging), so just hoping summer brings better views.

We stayed there just before it was refurbished and it was good then, ideally situated, good views, pleasant owners.

Ah my dates aren’t available! Which is a shame because the Slate room looks beautiful.

I stayed at the Royal Goat in bedgelert about 10years ago and loved it. Wouldn't say it was modern though. But traditional residents lounge with open fires, leather sofas and a good bar.

Black Boy in Caernarfon. 20 mins drive from Llanberis.

Not modern but better than these modern places.

Have a look at Afon Gwyn in Betws-y-Coed. 5 star and absolutely gorgeous, not massive and more a luxury B&B but is beautiful and v luxurious - just what you need after tramping up Snowdon x

You’ll be hard pressed to find modern in rural North Wales, we tend to have country house hotels. Caernarfon area is your best bet. Seiont Manor, Llanrug has swimming pool, spa if that’s what you’re after.

Meant to say, within walking distance of the town with lots of nice places to eat as well x

Caernarfon is your best bet I think but I can honestly say modern hotels are few and far between in North Wales. Some lovely b and bs though. The black boy is nice. I can recommend some nice hotels on anglesey but that might be a bit far for you.

You could try Bodysgallen in Anglesey. Very nice posh pad. 30 mins or so from Llanberis.

I mean Treysgawen. The other one is in Llandudno!
