Which do you recommend to monitor a 12 year old's phone please? Or something else?

I’ve heard that our pact can be awkward to take off and shows incorrect location but that could just be the issues my friend had with it.

Someone told me that you can monitor screen time via family sharing on an iPhone, anyone use that?

I downloaded both apps last week. Didn't like either. Then I Discovered it can be done on the iPhone from IOS 12 I think (had to update iPad for it to show)
I have my own parent code and have set limits on how much time she can have and the hours. So I have set maximum 3 hours per day (I think that is generous, 12 yr old DD thinks it's horrendous 😂) and it has to be between 7am and 9pm. She gets warning when she is close to the limit and so far it works well. I can override it for 15 mins, an hour or all day too. So a bit more leniency now it is school holidays. And no need for messing with apps and loading VPN onto our phones.

Thank you chicken this is what I have done now. Took me a while to set up and I had to call Apple helpline as dd had already set up her Apple ID as an adult user. So I've got her set up now as a child on my phone, will have to see if it works.
