Hi,
I’m 37 weeks today and seeing the consultant on Monday because I have gestational diabetes. I don’t really know what to expect - the baby is growing healthily and my diabetes doesn’t appear to have affected its size in the growth scans. I am worried that the consultant will want to induce really early whereas I feel that (unless it’s a medical emergency for the health of the baby) I’d like the baby to stay in for as long as possible before being induced. Is it likely that I’ll pop in on Monday and they’ll make me have the baby there and then just to be safe?! This is my first baby and I’m feeling utterly clueless, please could someone who’s been in this situation offer me some advice about what is likely to happen on Monday. Thanks 🙂
