When is your pamper time?

Do you set aside a few hours to pamper yourself every week?
When do you do it?
What’s your regime?

I’ve let myself go way too much recently, my skin is dehydrated, hair often scraped back, bare nails... I never used to be like this 😭

So tell me... what’s your pampering routine?

Normally in the evening once the children are in bed.

I do lots of it in short bursts and take shortcuts where I can:

Whilst I run a bath, I slap on a face mask and body brush (If I can be bothered). I add oil to the bath to moisturise my skin and will use a loofah to exfoliate my skin.

Before going to bed, I put on some foot cream and lie bed m'netting whilst the cream absorbs.

I went for a haircut last summer....

30 seconds in the shower each day with one eye on DD?

hopeishere · 05/04/2019 21:53

Sunday night. Bath, face mask, shave legs, body scrub and in the summer tan.

Sometimes I do a sheet mask on a Friday night.

I get my toenails gelled every few weeks.

I've a bath most nights when the kids are in bed.

Friday night. DH goes out most fridays so I get all my grooming done then. Then glass of wine and bed to myself. Bliss!

Grin* LOL no, that'd be nice tho. Might try it*

I was going to say not a lot but realise now maybe I do and I don't appreciate it. I paint my nails (gel), face masks when I can exfoliate. Cleanse my my skin and take of my trowelled on make up each night. Followed by toner, oil, moisturiser, eye cream etc.

We don't have a bath but do give a huge shower, so long hot showers where I exfoliate when I'm in there. Spray oil etc. I do things that are quick and easy.

My main indulgence is makeup, especially weekends when I don't have to look professional and can experiment with Britt colours and glitter Grin. I deliberately get up an hour earlier in the week to put it on and make sure it looks right.

@whycantIthinkofadecentusername you are my hero 😍

Not to derail thread, but what face masks do people buy?

I have no routine at the moment but starting to think I need one!

CakeNinja · 05/04/2019 22:24

Not sure about pampering myself, I would class a lot of it as personal maintenance!
I look after my face and have relaxing baths most nights. Do my nails every week, get regular hair cuts, facials and massages (these last 2 things are indulgences for sure but the massages started as physio for an injury and I just carried on with some minor changes!).
I wear makeup sometimes but just depending on if I can be bothered or not, it’s not a time issue.
I have 3dc, 2 are teens and one is 7 and pretty independent so mornings are pretty stress free before school. Dp does most of the cooking (not all but around 70% of it in the evenings) which frees me up to have long baths if I want them early.
I’m not ashamed to say I am not a martyr and I am one of my own priorities!!!
