Talk to me about pillows please

I am obsessed with finding a decent pillow!
I would like one quite firm that doesn't sink in the middle after a few weeks and am prepared to pay £££s for something decent as I am tired of wasting money on crappy pillows
Please help me in my pillow quest wise mumsnetters

I wouldn’t have put much faith in an IKEA pillow

IKEA pillows are amazing. They even have them out so you can test them out properly. I will spent a fortune on pillows and IKEA ones are the best.

Wool pillows from the Wool Room. Sleepy bliss. And no lingering concerns about ethical down sourcing or hypoallergenic filling clumpage.

I love a firm pillow, my favourite is a sprung pillow. Soft and springy but stays in shape night after night.

Pocket sprung pillow from Dreams or the IKEA memory foam (about 1/3 the price). Both are great. The IKEA one even goes on holiday with me!

Which would be firmer and keep its shape longer the wool or the buckwheat?

We got 2 free pillows from Emma when we bought our mattress. They are expensive £65 each! But they are amazing.

Never tried woolbut I’m sure buckwheat would be firmer. You can have it like a rock or like a bag of rice 😄. I keep mine topped up, I like it hard!

Love my Simba Hybrid pillow - very comfy

My mum made my pillows in the 1960’s. No idea where she got the feathers from. They are like sandbags! Obviously a disgusting idea to have 60 year old pillows but they are fab.

But I am watching with interest. Wool pillows were good I seem to remember from some craft show.

Dunelm “full forever” pillows are great. We’ve had ours for over a year, bought them after sleeping on them in a holiday cottage.

Another vote for the simba Hybrid pillow here - can adjust the amount of filling in it.

Silk pillows from Duvet and Pillow Warehouse.

They are flattish so I use 2.

Heaven - especially with silk pillowcases.

Another vote for Otty .... we got 2 free pillows recently with our new mattress .... they are fab!

I love the Ikea pillow linked to above. It cured my neck pain!!

Full Forever by Dorma at Dunelm. I put Dunelm zipped pillow covers on them, still full after 2 years.

The Full Forever ones used to be good but the last ones I bought weren’t very good
