Has Bonnie Tyler lost it?

Crikey, i heard Bonnie Tyler singing "Bright Eyes" on Radio 2 this morning on Zoe Ball's show, and I was cringing. My toes were curling and I just wanted her to stop, for the love of god. Did anyone else hear it? Am I just being an old cowbag or was it actually deeply deeply awful?

It wasn't great but I don't want to knock her.

AliceAforethought · 05/04/2019 13:29

Yes, it wasn’t the best performance, was it?

MockerstheFeManist · 05/04/2019 15:34

Has Bonnie Tyler lost it?

Maybe it was Lost in France.

alltoomuchrightnow · 06/04/2019 01:10

I've not heard it yet but my friend sung with her today and her messing up is not too common
Live radio harder as you can't get the crowd to help you out like at gigs
She's usually a total pro

Rottencooking · 06/04/2019 01:39

I went through a phase of watching lots of her performances from the last decade recently and unfortunately yes she has almost lost her voice. Sounds like she smokes 100 a day. :(

alltoomuchrightnow · 07/04/2019 19:08

If I was nearing 70 yrs old and had to get up at 3am to sing live on radio I know how I'd be!
I'm not a fan but she's still got something, her fan base and touring shows that

Longlostperson · 07/04/2019 19:11

Sounds like she smokes 100 a day.

Isn’t that what she sounded like anyway ?

AutumnCrow · 07/04/2019 19:16

She sounded quite normal when she did Lost in France.

Next thing, gravel voice happened. Permanently. Always wondered how and why, as you don't get Gitanes Lungs overnight.

I do like her, though. Unique.

Any excuse to post the Literal Video for Total Eclipse of the Heart

Oldraver · 07/04/2019 20:11

She never did sound good though did she

AutumnCrow · 07/04/2019 20:53

She had a good range

Rottencooking · 08/04/2019 05:26

@AutumnCrow it's because she damaged her voice years ago and was put on strict vocal rest which she never followed, and it gradually got worse.

Rottencooking · 08/04/2019 05:27

Isn’t that what she sounded like anyway ?

No it used to sound like she smoked 60 Wink

SneakyGremlins · 08/04/2019 05:29

She's been holding out for a hero for a while now, maybe her vocal chords are sore?

isabellerossignol · 08/04/2019 05:32

I heard her interviewed on the radio a few weeks ago and she really pissed me off.

She said she'd never experienced sexism and she thinks that's because she's a strong person. So there you go ladies, if you've ever experienced sexism it's all your own fault for not being a strong person.
