Student finance question

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone could help.

I'm trying to figure out how much I'd realistically be getting from student finance. I know for sure they'll cover the tuition fees but it's the maintenance loan I'm concerned about.

I need a very clear idea of how much I'll be getting, otherwise I can't stop my course! The start date isn't until 2020 so I have time but I need to know if I'll even be able to accept.

Does anyone have any advice?

Are you in Scotland or England?

If Scotland SAAS website has a wealth of information and breaks down funding criteria. Can't help with England though.

There's a calculator: www.gov.uk/student-finance-calculator

It's unlikely to change much between 2019 and 2020.

I'm in England.

I've used the calculator online but I'm suspicious that it'll be wrong or completely off like the tax credits one

The calculator, for me, was very accurate. As long as you enter the right information about any partners income and where you are living and studying it should be correct.
